I can read, write, and pronounce all of that. Without Google Translate. What I'm really proud of, however, is that I have sort of started thinking in Chinese. Little itty bitty phrases, like please, thank you, goodbye, and my name is.....

The problem with Chinese characters is that they aren't phonetic. (Never thought I'd ever complain about a lack of phonics. . .)
But you should be proud of me. I understood about a quarter before translating, and about half afterwards.
